Description: On Friday, November 27th Gabriel Iglesias rocks the Concert Hall in Honolulu, HI. Gabriel Iglesias has been described as unbelievably funny, electrifying, and a gifted performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a quality comedy experience in every venue he performs in. His high-octane show is a hilarious mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal issues to life. Gabe’s clean, animated comedy style has earned national crossover appeal. Ask anyone who has seen him in concert and you will probably hear the same thing, "He was so funny!"
Known as the "fluffy" comic in a Hawaiian shirt, the 32-year old funny man often riffs about his girthy middle - whether it's talking about how little dancing it takes for him to work up a sweat at the nightclub, or how hearing his girlfriend coo the words "chocolate cake" over the telephone works for him like phone sex, he evokes laughter.
Gabriel’s mass appeal opened the door to a rare opportunity to film a second one hour special and DVD. The new special entitled “I’m Not… Fat I’m Fluffy” Live in El Paso will premiere on Comedy Central November 8, 2009. The new show is packed with a perfect blend of impeccable voice skills and an uncanny knack for hilarious storytelling that Gabe is known for. His vast imitative skills re-create numerous sound effects from speeding cars to microwave ovens to a plethora of dead-on voices. The new special is destine to top his previous comedy CD “Picachu" and his hugely successful Special/DVD “Hot & Fluffy”.
Gabriel’s credits include; “Last Comic Standing”, ABC's "My Wife & Kids," Showtime's "Resurrection Boulevard,” "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Good Morning America," “Mind of Mencia,” “The Late Late Show,” FOX TV’s “The Family Guy,” "Showtime at the Apollo" and BET's "Comic View." His big screen debuts include the independent films "El Matador," and "The Surfer King” to name a few.

Traditions of Hawaiian Healing - 10:00-3:00
Kumu Alva James Andrews is a native of Hawai’i, a father, grandfather, and Viet Nam veteran. Andrews is also a gifted spiritual and physical healer. His form of lomi lomi incorporates ho'oponopono (mental cleansing in preparation for long term results) This class goes further into the spiritual aspects of health. Open to all. Of interest to health practitioners, cultural practitioners, massage therapists. Alva's form of lomilomi, or Hawaiian massage, incorporates the use of ho’oponopono, along with the traditional hand and body applications. Kumu believes that there is a connection between the spirit, the mind, and the physical body. Thus, the function of a good lomilomi practitioner is to harmonize the various parts of a person’s being, in order to make them permanently healthy and balanced. There is a spiritual, mental and emotional dimension that must be factored into the Holistic approach that Kumu uses. For him, then, lokahi, or unity, is what is needed to effect permanent good health. Kumu firmly believes, as his ancestors did, that the body cannot be healed until the spirit is healed. This is the key to what Kumu teaches and practices.
Cost: $100 RSVP: (808) 397-1253 (808) 721-8342 or (808) 388-5850 - Please bring a lunch.
