It is recommended that you carry water on this event. Bike is rated 2+ due to gradual uphill on the return and the altitude. The trail will go south along Monument Creek with views of Pikes Peak. The route includes the Pikes Peak Greenway trail and will go through Monument Valley Park. The trail is well maintained gravel and asphalt. It is recommended that you wear a bike helmet on both of these trails. Helmets are required on the Academy. The 30K option is rated 3+ because of several steep hills. Part of this beautiful trail is well maintained gravel and asphalt and the rest is dirt. It will take you north through the Air Force Academy grounds to the north gate. You will need to have a government issued ID such as a driver's license, military ID or passport while on the Academy grounds. Restrooms available at the start/finish.
