The Santa Shuffle 5K will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Lincoln Park, IL as the third race in the Go Green. Get Fit race series. The race will be held between Lake Shore Drive and Clark Street at 9:00 am on a course through the park. Experience the beauty of famous areas such as the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Grant and Benjamin Franklin Monuments while getting fit and going green!
All participants at the Santa Shuffle will receive a variety of amenities including a custom-made Santa-themed long-sleeved t-shirt. Everyone will also receive a Santa beard and hat, and will be encouraged to wear them while they run! Come out and enjoy the beauty of Chicago’s early winter and find ways to stay “Green” during the season! Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Guests can submit their own original chocolate recipe for consideration in the first annual Chocolate Bliss Recipe Challenge, after purchase of a World of Chocolate ticket. A panel of professional chocolatiers and chefs from the event will select the top recipe of choice, which will be announced at World of Chocolate. The top prize will receive the first-ever Amateur Chocolate Recipe Award title and complimentary tickets to next year’s event. The winner will also receive a small stipend for supplies and ingredients to create the winning recipe for VIP Reception guests at the World of Chocolate 2010. |
