Full Description:
The Junior League of Parkersburg and the Parkersburg Art Center would like to invite you to an exciting event. This event is the 2009 Holiday Market, which will be held on Saturday, December 5th. We will be creating a unique shopping experience for our community and hope you choose to participate with us.
Saturday the shopping experience will open to the public at 8 a.m. and will be open until 4 p.m. A variety of entertainment will add to the holiday spirit and encourage sales! There will be plenty of parking, too, as the lots near the Art Center will be open.
One added bonus for families is the Art Center will be offering an art class for your children to create a holiday craft while you shop. Call now to reserve your spot. The classes are $35. There also will be various raffles to also add to the excitement of the season.
The Junior League and Art Center are both community-focused organizations. The Art Center will use their proceeds to provide art education opportunities for young people. The League will use their proceeds for community projects, including the construction of an all-inclusive playground at the City Park, as well as a continued historical education for fourth graders by providing tours of the Cook House.
The success of the Junior League of Parkersburg and the Art Center is only possible because of the enormous commitment made by the entire Mid-Ohio Valley community.
The event is still seeking artisans, too. If you have any questions, please call the Art Center at (304)485-3859 or call Kelly at (304)863-6750. |
