Saturday, November 28, Beanwood Coffee Latin Bistro will host and celebrate the company's one-year anniversary with a Networking Reunion and Grand Re-Opening from 10am until 6pm with a series of activities that include a ribbon-cutting ceremony by New Jersey State Assemblyman Joseph R. Malone III (R - District 30), Mayor James E. Lynch.Jr., Deputy Mayor Heather Cheesman, and town Commissioner Zigmont Targonski at 1pm. A menu sampling a the shop's Latin-inspired cuisine will take place from 12 noon until 2pm, a food drive to benefit area needy families will be conducted throughout the day, and a live musical performance by the music band Stone Cold Sober will take place at 7pm. The celebration will also include plenty of opportunities for personal, business and social networking as well as chances for the public at large to meet several of the artists, organizations and business leaders who held community activities at the shop over the past year. Some of the confirmed and invited guests include professional photographer Tim Proctor, vocalist Anita Ferrer a.k.a. Erin McKeown has packed a ton of music into a substantial career. With 6 albums, 2 EPs, and numerous soundtracks and compilations to her credit, the 31-year-old songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer hasnt stopped for a breather in the last 10 years. Along the way she has averaged 200 shows a year and garnered the praise of fans and critics alike.

McKeowns latest project is a brand new full length album of original songs, due in the fall of 2009. Produced by Sam Kassirer and mixed by Brian Deck, Erins latest will continue in her unique tradition of fresh and unusual music. Meanwhile, shes begun to step out as an in-demand side player. This year shell also be contributing regularly to her ongoing writing projects including blogs, essays, and poems.

It might be an odd thing for a comedy band to release a ‘serious’ record, however special things can happen at Christmas and for the Hotpots this is a very special record. ‘Carry You Home’ is what happens when during times of seasonal merriment thoughts turn to the troubles we all face within our lives and the support we can give to each other. Being the Hotpots, this is still a drinking song but one which wears its heart on its sleeve. The single also includes the re-recording of their ultimate crowd pleaser ‘Chippy Tea’ and is taken from their new album ‘Christmas Cracker’ According to The Lancashire Hotpots, Christmas is a gas.
