Description:
Conference Goal: To promote a culture of peer exchange for teaching at Tufts University.
Educational Objectives:
- Identify the benefits and challenges of peer exchanges of teaching.
- Share current practices of peer exchange for teaching at Tufts.
- Identify approaches to protecting and sharing intellectual property through virtual exchanges and collaboration.
- Engage in interactive workshops of their choice to broaden and further the issues raised at the plenary sessions.
The program will feature a keynote presentation by James Wilkinson, Emeritus Director of the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning at Harvard University.
Following the keynote, a faculty panel representing the Schools of Dental Medicine, Medicine, and Arts and Sciences will share their experiences with peer evaluation approaches currently used at Tufts. The late morning presentations will focus on strategies for protecting and sharing intellectual property when participating in virtual exchanges and collaborative projects.
The afternoon will feature interactive workshops that explore the issues raised in the morning sessions. Please note, the afternoon workshops will be held in the School of Medicine's Arthur M. Sackler Center for Medical Education on 145 Harrison Avenue.
