Join us for our sunrise class atop Signal Hill! Conquer the hill (before you conquer your day) and have a blast doing it... We've got a creative mix of cardio, strength and core training to start your day - and weekend - off right! Your first class is FREE - just come a few minutes early with your completed registration packet and we'll get you all set up for class. What to bring: • yoga-type mat or beach towel • water • 5-lb dumbbells if you have them (we have extras if you need to borrow some for your first class) • completed registration packet • a great attitude! Park on Hill St. just before Obsipo (you'll see the hill before you) and meet us at the intersection of Hill St. and Obsipo. We will go out to lunch after the event to share our experiences. Lunch details to come soon. When: Sat. Dec. 12, 2009 9am-Noon Where: 133. N. Grand St. Orange , 92866 Park in Wells Fargo Parking Lot across the street Check in at YWCA Office *You can also donate new or gently used purses, additions to its contents, or both! Suggestions: -Medium to large purses, preferably new -Sample or travel-size personal hygiene items such toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel/body wash, deodorant, Kleenex, dental floss, lotion, etc. -Candy, protein bars, breath mints, packaged snacks, tea bags, etc. (no medicine or items with alcohol such as mouthwash.) - A small gift such as makeup, pen, or socks. Learn how to faux paint - Sponge Painting I'm going to show you how to paint sponge finishes and make them look professional. This technique has been around for along time but it's also one of those finishes that is often poorly executed and I will show you how to transform an average faux finish into a stunning faux finish. In this class, you'll learn how to paint several different types of sponge painted faux finishes along with some very unique and unusual ways of doing this technique. YouÂÂ'll learn by painting on an actual wall along with sample boards that you can take home. IÂÂ'm also excited to help you choose the paint colors for your sponge painting projects as that seems to be the most difficult thing for people to do on their own. So please take advantage of this added bonus and bring along what ever photos plus fabric and flooring samples and IÂÂ'll be your personal color consultant by mixing your custom colors for you! This class will be on Saturday afternoon from 1-4 pm. The fee is $99. which includes all your materials, sample boards and a Sponge Painting DVD to take home.
