BASIC CONCEPTS ABSTRACT Video Editing w/ Blender While Blender can do some amazing animation and visual masterpieces, many people don't know that it also has a lot of other capabilities related to, but not specific to animation. One of these capabilities is it's video sequence editor (VSE). While Blender's VSE takes a bit of getting used to, it is a very capable tool (one of the most capable open source video editors) for cutting, cropping, moving, fading, compositing and transitioning video together whether a home movie captured from your mini-DV camcorder or a full length feature film in HD. Coupled with a few other open source tools like FFMPEG, Gimp and Inkscape, it's all you really need to edit and render a professional video project together. This is the first of a series of Basic Concepts presentations drilling into the specific features of Blender.
